Child Birth Education Class
Birth Detroit Childbirth Education is designed to be a learning community for birthing people and families* to grow in their knowledge, power and understanding of pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period in all safe birth settings (birth center, hospital and home).

Topics Covered
This class will teach the importance of nutrition and stress management during pregnancy, the stages of labor, comfort techniques for labor, postpartum and newborn care, and much more! Handouts and access to birth professionals are included with this 6-week course.

Class Length
120 minutes (Session includes didactic, dialogue, and activity-based learning.) The Series consists of six 120-minute sessions over six weeks.

In partnership with Nature's Playhouse, this 2-hour in-person class held locally, is designed to prepare parents with infants and/or small children to learn the basic skills of infant CPR and first aid. Participants can choose to just come to get training or pay for a two year certification option.
