We have six black six-foot rectangular folding tables are available, offering additional space for serving food, displaying materials, or accommodating larger groups.
These tables can be arranged individually or combined to create longer configurations, providing adaptability for different event setups.

Fifty extra-wide gray stacking chairs accompany the tables, ensuring ample seating for guests.
These chairs are designed for comfort and support, facilitating extended periods of sitting during presentations, lectures, or social gatherings.

For less formal events or things needing connection, you can use our soft floor seats to accommodate your guests. We have twenty available.

The Community Room is equipped with appliances for various culinary needs.
We have a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, and coffee + tea station included in the rental. Guests must provide their own tea and coffee and beverage accoutrements.
We ask guests to provide their own serving dishes, linens, and napkins. However, they can use our assortment of plates, bowls, and mugs for guests.
The area is also equipped with a dishwasher and an ice machine suitable for individual drinks (not for full bar service).

Birth Detroit has an enclosed parking lot in front of our building that accommodates 15 guests.
There is additional street parking at no charge conveniently located next to our building on Heritage Pl.
We presently do not have a bicycle rack at our building.
There is solely one entrance through our middle double set of glass doors that face the parking lot with two steps into the building or ramp access.
These spots are conveniently located near the entrance, providing easy access to the venue.

Guests will have access to (2) single use gender-neutral restrooms, each equipped with baby changing tables.

Our space best accommodates 24 people. It is better for intimate and private events such as meetings or community event space, tastings/tiny bites, baby showers, baby sprinkles, name reveal parties, first birthday parties, or fitness/wellness activities and welcome celebrations.

No, tours are not permitted during a rental and off limit spaces will be restricted and locked. The space is limited to the Community Room, public restrooms (2), and a welcome area for shoes.

No, we presently do not have a place to hang coats.

No. We are able to provide a vendor list but you are welcome to use your own preferred catering company or prepare your own meals as long as your vendors follow the rental agreement.

No. We do not allow open flames at Birth Detroit. This includes incense, sage, and brush. LED /flameless candles are required. Sternos are allowed for chafing dishes during catering.

Your rental agreement will have your confirmation for set up and tear down. If early access is requested for set up additional fees may occur.

Yes, you are welcome to decorate however we do not allow confetti, glitter, or hanging items on walls.

We have JBL wireless microphones (2) and a wireless JBL speaker that can be accessed but we do not have a speaker system. There is a television in the space for casting (75" Samsung Art Mode TV) as well as a modern electric fireplace unit.
