Meet Rayna Jai 

People & Culture Manager

Rayna Jai is an eccentric adventurer at heart. She loves to venture out into the unknown and come back with a new perception of herself, her work, and the world. As the People & Culture Manager at Birth Detroit, she leads the people and culture function for Birth Detroit. 

Rayna Jai was born in Miami, Florida, and raised in Haiti, before coming back to the States and spending her time traveling along the East Coast, ending in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. After college, she moved to Spain, Mozambique, Portugal, and then later to Salvador, Brazil. However, she returned to Atlanta, Georgia, once that journey came to a close. 

She has worked in the social impact and non-profit space since 2022, and in People & Culture since 2018. She enjoys creating positive work environments that support growth and evolution, bringing life to systems, and creating spaces where people feel comfortable showcasing their most authentic selves. 

Outside of conquering challenges and new sights, Rayna Jai loves to play the guitar, attend concerts, read hardcover books, read tarot, and go to the beach with her chosen family.
